2026 · The Unfilmable Edition
I’M possible Film Festival
Creating impossible frames
An international festival for films made with AI, focused on stories that until now could not be made.
About
AI-made cinema for stories hard to make
This festival is not for showing AI tricks. It is for bringing human narratives to the screen that have become possible to make.
The first edition of I’Mpossible Film Festival , The Unfilmable Edition , focuses on films that use AI to bring the unseen to the screen: from personal memories and imagined future worlds to untold historical events and censored truths. Films that could not be shot because of limited access to cameras, production crews, budgets or safe filming conditions.
Some screenplays are too dangerous to make, and some are too expensive. Some films have until now been impossible to make because of censorship, geographic distance, or because they remain trapped in memory, history or imagination. Creative tools such as AI have completely changed this landscape.
Founded by Nima Akbarpour , a London-based journalist, producer and filmmaker working across media, technology and digital culture.
Vision
From imagination to image
I’Mpossible Film Festival is for filmmakers, artists and storytellers who create their works with AI because producing them through traditional methods would not have been easy.
Selected films will be featured on the festival website and channels, and considered for online screening. Main winners will receive the official festival trophy and laurels, plus a digital certificate.
